How to Buy Spindle Bolsters from India: A Buyer’s Checklist

Vindex technical notes · 1 Oct 2026

India is one of the world’s largest sources of textile spindle and bolster manufacturing, with decades of OEM and replacement-part experience. Buying well from an Indian manufacturer-exporter comes down to specifying exactly what you need and checking a few basics before the order ships.

Specify exactly

Send the machine make and model, the bolster type and diameter (for example HZ-68 or HF-21), the quantity per position and total, and whether you need bolsters alone or complete spindle assemblies. Photos or a sample of the existing part remove all doubt — most exporters, Vindex included, confirm fitment from a sample.

Ask for a sample first

For a first order, a sample lot lets you check dimensions, finish and fit on your own machines before committing to bulk. It is standard practice and any serious exporter expects it.

Check export packaging

Bolsters travel far: look for VCI rust-preventive wrapping, oil coating and seaworthy wooden cases or reinforced export cartons with partitions. Poor packaging ruins precision parts before they arrive.

Terms and shipment

Confirm the FOB port (Vindex ships via Mundra Port), lead time, payment terms and after-sales support for fitment questions. A manufacturer that answers technical questions before the sale will answer them after it. Contact Vindex Industries with your requirement — or see why mills buy from us.
