Product description

KTTM — Kirloskar Toyoda Textile Machinery — brought Japanese Toyoda engineering into Indian mill conditions, and its RX series ring frames earned a loyal following among spinners who wanted that precision at Indian operating costs. Those frames are now mature installations, and their owners think carefully about every replacement part that goes into them. Vindex Industries manufactures replacement spindle bolsters for KTTM RX series positions at our Surendranagar works, where we have made textile machinery spares since 1985. We build the bolster around a hardened bearing-steel insert with the footstep geometry and oil system suited to RX frame duty — steady running across long shifts, straightforward servicing by the mill's own maintenance team. Because RX models differ in spindle specification across the series, we confirm fitment against your exact model and, where there is any doubt, a sample or drawing before we quote. One confirmation up front saves a mill the cost of a bolster that almost fits.

Application

Ring and compact spinning with the specified tube and drafting / winding configuration. Filament twisting requires its own machine-specific spindle selection.

Key Features & Metallurgy

  • Bearing-steel blade with specified heat treatment
  • HE30-T6 standard and HE15 / 2014-T6 premium plug options
  • Hard-anodised finish where specified
  • Dynamic balancing and controlled working dimensions

Advantages

  • Lightweight top-part design to reduce rotating mass
  • Small-wharve options for matching the tape drive and operating duty; energy savings require a comparative mill test
  • Lubrication interval selected for the insert, lubricant and service conditions
  • Multi-stage dimensional, hardness, runout and balancing checks as agreed in the inspection plan

Export markets

Vindex Industries manufactures this product in Surendranagar, Gujarat, and exports textile machinery spares to 87 countries — including Bangladesh, Vietnam, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Brazil, Mexico and Thailand. Request an export quote.

KTTM Ring Frame Spindle Bolster — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a KTTM ring frame spindle bolster?

The bolster is the spindle bearing / support assembly. A complete spindle can also include the blade, wharve, aluminum plug and tube gripper. Confirm the required supply scope with the quotation.

Is it interchangeable with the original KTTM spindle?

KTTM RX 100, RX 200, RX 240, RX 300 and RXI are machine references for enquiry. Replacement fit is confirmed against the original part number, mounting dimensions and assembly drawing.

What maintenance does a spindle bolster need?

Follow the selected insert and lubricant instructions. Maintain the specified oil level and check for heating, noise and vibration. The maintenance interval depends on the operating duty.

Do you supply in bulk and export?

Bulk and export enquiries are welcome. Send machine model, part number, quantity and destination for a product-specific quotation.

Which KTTM models do your bolsters cover?

We manufacture for RX series positions, including the widely installed RX models in Indian mills. Because specifications differ across the series, we confirm your exact model — and a sample or drawing where needed — before quoting.

Is a sample really necessary, or is the model number enough?

The model number is a good start and often sufficient. Where the frame has been modified or the existing bolster is non-standard, a sample settles it — we will tell you honestly which route your case needs.

Can our own maintenance team fit these bolsters, or is special tooling needed?

Fitting follows the frame's normal spindle-setting practice, so a mill's own maintenance team can handle it with standard workshop tools. We note any setting points specific to the supplied configuration with the dispatch documents.
