Spindle Bolster Enquiry Guide: What to Send So You Get the Right Quote Fast

Vindex technical notes · 2 Oct 2026

Most delayed spares orders are not delayed by production — they are delayed by the enquiry. A buyer sends “need spindle bolster price”, and three emails later the supplier is still asking which machine it is for. Here is what to include so your quotation comes back fast — and correct.

Start with the machine make and model

Every spindle bolster Vindex makes is built for a specific machine family — Rieter, LMW, Zinser, Marzoli and KTTM ring frames, Daewon, Leehwa, Muratec, Ratti, Veejay Lakshmi and Volkmann twisters. The make and the exact model is the single most important line in your enquiry. If the machine plate is worn off, the model is often stamped on the old bolster itself — a photo of that marking works just as well.

Add the spindle count and quantities

Count the spindles on one machine, multiply by the number of machines due for service, and add a few spares for the store room. Write the count per machine on the enquiry — it lets the supplier cross-check the quantity against the machine model and catch typos before dispatch. Mills usually order spindle bolsters in machine sets rather than piece by piece, and stating the full quantity up front gets you a bulk-order quotation in one step.

One photo beats ten descriptions

A clear photo of the existing bolster — especially any stamped markings — removes all guesswork. Send it with the enquiry and the match can be confirmed before any quotation, which avoids the most expensive mistake in spares buying: the wrong shipment.

Mention delivery and timeline

Add the delivery port or city and your target date. Export packing and dispatch are planned around it, and for bulk orders the production slot is booked against your timeline. Send your enquiry with the machine make, model, spindle count and one photo, and we will come back with the correct Vindex bolster and a quotation. We export to spinning and twisting mills in 87 countries from our works at Surendranagar, Gujarat.

Frequently asked questions

What information makes a bolster enquiry clearer?

State the machine make and model, spindle count, part quantities and required delivery. Include a clear photograph of the existing assembly.

How should several different bolster requirements be submitted?

List each reference and quantity separately. Add the relevant machine and dimensional information for every item rather than using one description for the whole enquiry.
